Interested in volunteering in our community?  Temple B'nai Israel is involved in a number of local volunteering initialives.  If you need community service hours for a youth project or simply would like to give back to a community that has given us so much, these are some great options:

Adopt a Highway:  We've adopted a stretch of M-43 in Richland!  Anyone over the age of 12 is invited to assist.  Watch your e-mails in the spring and autumn for clean-up dates. For more information about participating in Adopt-A-Highway, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Ministry With Community: On the 2nd Sunday of each month, Temple B'nai Israel assists with preparing and serving lunch at Ministry with Community, located at 440 N. Church Street.  Spending a few hours helping those less fortunate than us is an eye-opening experience.  We need at least 14 volunteers each month, and children are welcome to participate.  For more information, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Shabbat Services

mikematt

Please join us for Shabbat services led by Rabbi Matthew Zerwekh. On the first, third, and fourth Fridays of each month, Shabbat services begin at 7:00 p.m. On the second Friday  of each month, Shabbat services begin at 6:00 p.m. and are followed by a community potluck meal open to all (October through May) or a shared meal at a local restaurant (June through September).  In months with a fifth Friday, we forego services at TBI and instead gather in members’ homes for a shared Shabbat dinner.

Every Saturday morning, our  our weekly morning Shabbat serviceMinyan Milamed, begins at 10:00 a.m. Check our calendar page for updates. Our Shabbat services are always open to visitors; we invite you to come and experience Temple B'nai Israel!
